Continúa la incertidumbre en cuanto al eventual traslado de dependencias y funcionarios del edificio Esmeralda, que alberga al Gobierno Regional (Gore), la Delegación Presidencial Regional y diversos servicios y seremis, hacia el edificio Grace, en la Plaza Sotomayor, debido a problemas eléctricos detectados en ascensores y otras instalaciones.
Consultada sobre la situación, la delegada presidencial regional, Sofía González, señaló que «está en desarrollo», por lo que se espera «organizar a aquellos organismos que efectivamente tendrían que ser movilizados a este u otro lugar por las condiciones del edificio».
En cuanto a los recursos dispuestos para el traslado, indicó que es «una situación que está en evaluación» y aseguró que «cuentan con sus propias partidas presupuestarias».
Para el consejero regional, Manuel Millones, «no hay un solo antecedente que justifique que el Consejo Regional, que se emplaza en el 4° piso, se traslada de sede. Nuestras dependencias están seguras y, además, es posible acceder por la escala y no necesitamos el ascensor, aún cuando tendríamos limitaciones para personas mayores o con problemas de movilidad».
