Región de Valparaíso mantiene 67 causas vigentes por explotación sexual de niños

Según cifras entregadas por la Fiscalía de Valparaíso, el 2023 ingresaron 149 denuncias relacionadas a este tipo de delito.
Fue en octubre del año pasado cuando el Servicio Mejor Niñez -hoy llamado Servicio Nacional de Protección Especializada a la Niñez y Adolescencia-, alertó de una grave problemática al interior del organismo: niñas y adolescentes que se encontraban bajo el cuidado del Estado, y en lo que a todas luces parecía ser una red ligada a este tipo de delito, estaban siendo explotadas sexualmente a las afueras de las residencias del Gran Valparaíso.
El director regional del Servicio, Francisco Olivares, indicó que ante la gravedad de los hechos, el organismo ya había presentado, en lo que iba del año 2023, 32 denuncias por estos delitos.
A seis meses de encenderse las alertas en el Gran Valparaíso, y dada la necesidad de que estos casos se resuelvan a la brevedad, la Fiscalía entregó los datos actualizados en lo que respecta a las denuncias relacionadas a estos delitos.
«El año 2023 ingresaron a la Región de Valparaíso 149 denuncias relacionadas a los delitos de explotación sexual de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes (ESCNNA), consagrados en los artículos 367 y 367 ter. De este total, ya sea por término o agrupación, a la fecha se mantienen 67 causas vigentes».
