MOP Valparaíso invita al taller “Mujeres, Agua y Ruralidad en San Felipe el próximo 2 de abril

La iniciativa es parte del Plan de Adaptación al Cambio Climático para los Recursos Hídricos que lidera la Dirección General de Aguas del MOP con apoyo de FAO, y que busca incorporar el enfoque de género en las medidas que se propongan en el documento.

En un esfuerzo conjunto para enfrentar y disminuir el cambio climático y sus múltiples efectos en los recursos hídricos de Chile, se encuentra en desarrollo el anteproyecto del Plan de Adaptación al Cambio Climático para el sector de los Recursos Hídricos (PACC-RH).


Este Plan es liderado por la Dirección General del Aguas (DGA) del Ministerio de Obras Públicas (MOP), con el apoyo de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentación y la Agricultura (FAO) como agencia implementadora, y con el financiamiento del Fondo Verde del Clima (FVC).


⦁ El Plan busca identificar e implementar medidas concretas para enfrentar los efectos adversos del cambio climático y avanzar en seguridad hídrica en torno a cuatro ejes estratégicos: agua en cantidad y calidad adecuada para consumo humano, saneamiento y subsistencia; conservación y preservación ecosistémica; desarrollo de actividades productivas y resiliencia de los territorios y la comunidad frente a amenazas y eventos climáticos extremos.


⦁ Este plan se puso en marcha en julio de 2023 con una fase de participación temprana virtual y recepción y recopilación de antecedentes, luego en enero de 2024 con 6 talleres en línea con representantes de organizaciones e instituciones clave en las macrozonas norte, centro, sur y austral. Además, se efectuaron talleres presenciales con los 11 pueblos indígenas reconocidos por ley mediante procesos de participación diferenciados para cada uno y con el objetivo de promover un enfoque multicultural. El taller con la comunidad indígena Rapa Nui está programado para el 9 de abril en la isla. Actualmente se están realizando los talleres macrozonales con las y los delegados de las comunidades indígenas que fueron nominados en los talleres previos.


⦁ El Plan también considera abordar las desigualdades de género en el acceso y la gestión del agua, por lo que en la región de Valparaíso se desarrollará el taller “Mujeres, Agua y Ruralidad en San Felipe el próximo 2 de abril, de 9.30 a 13 horas, en el Campus San Felipe de la U. de Valparaíso, camino La Troya esquina El Convento, San Felipe. La inscripción se debe realizar en https://bit.ly/3IUNeie. Cabe señalar que para las mujeres que deban asistir con sus hijas e hijos, se habilitará un espacio recreativo a cargo de educadores de párvulos para acompañar a las pequeñas y pequeños.


⦁ El seremi de OO.PP., Yanino Riquelme González, invitó a participar de esta instancia, precisando que “este taller busca convocar y representar diversidad de experiencias territoriales de la región de Valparaíso, en particular asegurar la presencia de mujeres de zonas rurales, que por dificultades de acceso o conciliación no pudieron participar del taller de la macrozona virtual zona centro en enero pasado, por eso queremos invitarles a participar el próximo martes 2 de abril”.


⦁ Los resultados derivados de este taller con mujeres en San Felipe serán incorporados en la elaboración del anteproyecto del Plan de Adaptación al Cambio Climático para los Recursos Hídricos, el cual será sometido a consulta pública entre junio y agosto del presente año, para luego elaborar el Plan definitivo y obtener la aprobación de las autoridades y proceder a su dictación.
