Confirman hallazgo de zancudo transmisor de dengue en terminal de Los Andes: “Iniciamos la fumigación”

La seremi de Salud indicó que en la provincia no hay casos de “dengue autóctono” y llamó a reforzar medidas para evitar su presencia.
La seremi de Salud de la Región de Valparaíso, Lorena Cofré, confirmó la presencia de “un nuevo foco” de zancudo Aedes aegypti en el terminal de buses de la comuna de Los Andes.Al respecto, indicó que el hallazgo “obedece al trabajo permanente y búsqueda activa de nuestros equipos de la Seremi de Salud en el territorio”.
Asimismo, sostuvo que “esta semana iniciamos la fumigación del terminal además de fortalecer, a través del trabajo mancomunado con los Centros de Salud Familiar y el Servicio de Salud, la vigilancia epidemiológica y la búsqueda de casos y pacientes febriles que puedan tener sintomatología”.
“Aclarar que en nuestra provincia de Los Andes y San Felipe no hay dengue autóctono, solamente han llegado casos importados que hemos contenido y hemos generado las acciones pertinentes», agregó.
“Dadas las relevancias de este hallazgo”, la autoridad sanitaria de la región llamó a reforzar las medidas para prevenir estos focos en la zona.
“En este sentido, lo importante es no acumular agua y si va almacenar agua hágalo solo en recipientes cerrados y ojala refrigerada. también el recambio permanente de agua de bebederos, floreros y cualquier agua que esté acumulada en cualquier sector de su vivienda”, dijo.
