Comisión de la FIFA inspeccionó Estadio Sausalito en primer paso para ser sede del Mundial Sub-20

El Municipio de Viña del Mar ya entregó todos los documentos de la postulación al organismo del fútbol internacional a través de la ANFP, para el evento deportivo a realizarse el próximo año en el país y en el que la ciudad espera albergar gran cantidad de visitantes.
Un nuevo paso en su postulación para que el estadio Sausalito sea considerado sede para el Torneo Mundial de Fútbol FIFA Sub-20 que se realizará en Chile el 2025, se dio la mañana de este domingo, con la visita inspectiva de una comisión de la FIFA al recinto deportivo viñamarino.
El torneo mundial fue otorgado en diciembre del año pasado a Chile y, de inmediato, el Municipio de Viña del Mar, encabezada por su alcaldesa Macarena Ripamonti, ratificó la disponibilidad del principal reducto deportivo de la comuna para ser una de las sedes del evento, para lo cual ya se entregó toda la documentación requerida para su postulación a la FIFA, a través de la ANFP.
Al respecto la autoridad comunal indicó que “con grandes eventos que se han desarrollado en Viña del Mar hemos demostrado que la ciudad está preparada para recibir un torneo internacional de esa envergadura. Tenemos un trabajo muy dedicado para que el Estadio Sausalito sea uno de los recintos referentes a nivel país”
Agregó que “junto a los gremios del turismo y hoteleros estamos en constante coordinación a fin de tener las mejores condiciones para recibir a los turistas y grandes delegaciones extranjeras de deportistas durante las actividades que concretamos durante todo el año. Esa experiencia creemos que es clave para que la capital turística de Chile se convierta en ciudad sede del próximo mundial sub 20”.
La delegación del órgano rector del fútbol mundial fue acompañada en la inspección por autoridades de la Federación de Fútbol de Chile y de equipos del Municipio de Viña del Mar, en un recorrido por todas las instalaciones del coliseo viñamarino que fue sede de la Copa América 2015, Campeonato Mundial Sub 17 (2015) y subsede de los juegos Panamericanos Santiago 2023, entre otros eventos de fútbol internacional, lo que lo hace estar en un muy buen pie para obtener la confirmación de sede.
GRANDES EVENTOS
Durante la gestión de la alcaldesa Macarena Ripamonti, el municipio ha realizado diversas gestiones para que Viña del Mar pueda recibir grandes eventos, con una serie de servicios turísticos, gastronómicos y hoteleros.
Es así como la comuna ha sido sede de diversos torneos deportivos internacionales, como la Maratón Internacional de Viña del Mar, las copas mundiales de triatlón y una serie de actividades deportivas recreacionales para toda la comunidad, como la Ciclorecreovía por el borde costero y los sábados deportivos en la Playa del Deporte.
A lo anterior se suman los espectáculos artísticos y musicales que ofrece el Teatro Municipal y la Quinta Vergara , durante todo el año.
