Monsalve afirmó que Venezuela «está a prueba» y que Chile le exigirá colaboración para detenciones en marco del crimen de Ojeda

El subsecretario del Interior, Manuel Monsalve, se refirió a los dichos de la ministra de la cartera, Carolina Tohá, luego de que el fiscal Héctor Barros afirmara que hay un móvil político en el secuestro y homicidio de Ronald Ojeda.
Monsalve sostuvo que «está a prueba Venezuela y está a prueba a nivel mundial, o sea a nivel internacional Venezuela va a tener que demostrarle al mundo que efectivamente está dispuesta a perseguir a los delincuentes y por tanto Venezuela tiene que rendir cuenta de cuál es el nivel de colaboración que presta para detener a dos personas que cometieron un secuestro y un homicidio en territorio nacional».
También respaldó los dichos que realizó el fiscal Barros y dijo que «emitió una orden de asistencia penal internacional, lo que implica que le está solicitando a Venezuela ayudar para ubicar a estas dos personas, y para detenerlas, y para posteriormente hacer una solicitud de extradición. Solo quiero reiterar que la conducta del gobierno va a seguir siendo la misma, de respaldo total a la acción del fiscal y de la justicia».
«Y por tanto, complementaremos esa acción judicial con las acciones políticas y diplomáticas que le implican al gobierno de Chile alzar la voz para exigir también la colaboración de Venezuela para que estas personas sean detenidas», agregó.
En esa línea, la autoridad dijo que «el fiscal Barros ha sido muy claro en lo que ha dicho, o sea, él ha ido a través de las diligencias policiales descartando alternativas o hipótesis de este delito. Primero descartó que sea un secuestro extorsivo, descartó que sea un autosecuestro, está claro que las personas que cometieron este delito además salieron de Chile y de acuerdo a lo que informa el fiscal están en territorio venezolano. El fiscal ha llegado a la convicción, de acuerdo a sus diligencias policiales, de que este delito fue planificado desde Venezuela, y por lo tanto él ha dicho, para ser muy preciso, que hay una sola hipótesis que queda pendiente, que esto haya tenido una motivación política. Para aclarar eso, la motivación final que hay detrás de este secuestro y homicidio es muy importante detener a las dos personas que están profundas».
«Las relaciones diplomáticas son para que los países colaboren. Este es un delito grave ocurrido en territorio chileno. Y a Chile le corresponde garantizar que en delitos que haya en Chile no haya impunidad. Y por tanto, va a exigir la colaboración para que no haya impunidad y para que esas personas sean ubicadas y detenidas. Y obviamente la justicia va a pedir su extradición», manifestó.
