Boric: «Desde Chile condenamos los ataques de Irán a Israel»

El Presidente abogó, a través de Twitter, «por la paz, el respeto al derecho internacional y a los derechos humanos sin ambigüedades».
Lamentó que las tensiones y crisis entre los gobiernos de Medio Oriente «deriven en violencia que terminan pagando los pueblos».
El Presidente Gabriel Boric condenó este domingo «los ataques a través de misiles y drones por parte de Irán a Israel» y abogó por el «respeto al derecho internacional y a los derechos humanos» en medio de la escalada de violencia en el Medio Oriente.
A través de sus redes sociales, el Mandatario afirmó que «desde Chile condenamos los ataques a través de misiles y drones por parte de Irán a Israel. Las tensiones y crisis entre los gobiernos, cuando derivan en violencia siempre la(s) terminan pagando los pueblos«.
«Abogaremos ante la comunidad internacional y organismos multilaterales por la paz, el respeto al derecho internacional y a los derechos humanos sin ambigüedades«, aseguró el jefe de Gobierno en su cuenta de X (exTwitter).
Las declaraciones de Boric se suman a las del canciller Alberto van Klaveren, quien también abordó ayer la situación en sus redes sociales: «Expresamos nuestra preocupación por la grave escalada de tensiones en el Medio Oriente y los ataques iraníes contra Israel. Chile condena el uso de la fuerza y defiende el derecho internacional humanitario, que protege las vidas civiles en los conflictos armados«, publicó la autoridad.
Asimismo, a través de un comunicado de prensa, el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores reiteró lo señalado por Van Klaveren, y añadió que las embajadas y consulados de Chile en la región «están monitoreando la situación para asistir a la comunidad chilena residente«.
Irán lanzó cientos de drones y misiles contra Israel como respuesta a la agresión a su consulado en Siria el 1 de abril, que causó la muerte de seis sirios y siete miembros de la Guardia Revolucionaria, entre ellos el líder de su rama Fuerzas Quds para Siria y el Líbano, el general de brigada Mohamed Reza Zahedi.
La oleada de ataques, que incluyó más de 170 drones, 120 misiles balísticos y unos 30 de crucero, no dejó muertos y solo hubo una niña de 7 años herida de gravedad tras el impacto de metralla.
Los hechos de violencia causan preocupación en la comunidad chilena en Israel, donde su presidente, Gabriel Colodro, declaró en Cooperativa que la situación es «muy complicada» para los chilenos residentes en Israel, ya que actualmente no tienen embajador.
«El Presidente (Gabriel Boric) lo llamó a consultas y no tenemos embajador, cosa que creemos que debe ser corregida«, solicitó.
